A condo, hotel room, apartment or both?
In Vail, we commonly see homes, condos and hotels for rent – for vacations. Combinations of these can work to make your vacation wonderful. Your family stays in a condominium and your ‘nanny’ stays in a hotel room across the hall. Works well!. An apartment is owned by an individual rather than being part of a homeowner’s association – if you want privacy, we can help with that but the Austria Haus may not be the right solution.
For purposes here, the Austria Haus is not an apartment – you will have common things here (like a pool, hot tub and eating area). It may be what you are looking for though. Further, it is not overly private since there are some 25 hotel rooms on site as well.
Whether you are headed to Colorado or some other great ski location, you’ll need to decide whether a hotel room works or if you should increase your budget and rent a condominium. Even though you may have been looking for an apartment, Some things to consider when choosing a condominium or hotel room at the Austria Haus property include:
- Your budget – Austria Haus condominiums are luxury accommodations and are like a home – you’ll have bedrooms, bathrooms, a living room and a fully setup kitchen. Hotel rooms are considerably less expensive and you get considerably less room and function than the condominiums.
- The size of your family – the number of rooms is important. If you need 3 bedrooms, but only have the option to vacation in a 2 bedroom condominium, you have the option of putting some of your party in a Hotel room. They sleep in a luxury room, then have meals and sharing time with you in your condominium.
- The need for a kitchen – many like to have the option of cooking our own meals. If this is important, you would need condominium. Of course, breakfast is served at the property for guests.
- The desire to have Vail Mountain view – while you are able to glimpse mountain views from the Hotel rooms, the condominiums have views of Vail Mountain ski area and Gore Creek from some bedrooms and from the living room areas. Not to mention from the deck areas if you use them.
